Default Eletric drag bike

Here is a drag bike(1:1) powered by A123's batteries. I found it in the RC Driver magazine March 2007 issue.

Man the battery tech is really getting good.

0 - 60 in 1.4 seconds
1/4 mile in 8.76sec
145mph in the 1/4
1330A max output or 320hp

Watch at the end of the run. He blows a motor and it shoots over the guard rail on the right side.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=3dRpAZci9m0

I didn't know where to put this but I figured eletric section.

Are you sure its electric? i know when he powers it sounds a bit like it but when it is 'idling' it sounds very much like a normal engine..and look at the tail just above the rear wheel, they look like exhausts to me.

but, if it IS electric....then its very impressive

The idling noise is in the background, not from the bike. When I first watched it I thought the same thing. The engine noise didnt match the action of the bike though.

I would be afraid that all that electrical energy between my legs would sterilize me.....
