Im not too sure if a spool is the way to go on carpet ive used both in 27t 19t and mod and the car always seems to be fastest with one ways didn't marc reinhard run a oneway at the dhi and got the fastes lap and as for no brakes with a one way if the car is ballanced and the brake settings are correct for the race track there is no reason brakes cant be used.

I have always run a one-way on Carpet with rubber until the last event I raced at. I tried a spool for my finals as my day had already been ruined during quilifing.
I was slightly slower with the spool but I found I could drive the car much more consistantly. Overall times where faster also.
I will be leaving the spool in for the next meeting.
