Can you take apart battery packs (6 cell 7.2 volt) and use the cellls... or if you want seperate cells do you have to buy them seperately?

You can break them up and use them individually, most LHS also sells them individually.

Are they stick packs? If so, they are likely spot welded and you have to tear the thin battery connectors off the ends of the cells.

Side by side packs are soldered with battery bars.

What are you attemping to make from the separate cells?
