Default Novak Smart tray SE questions

What should be cut off voltage per cell please for 2400 nicads

I would configure it to 0V ...

As Ni-Cds must be totally drain in order for it not to have 'memory' effect.

If you're afraid that it'll damage your cells, then set it at 0.1V.

Im just scared of getting cell reversal

Can this occur with Nicads??

As long as you do them on the smart tray you should'nt have to wory about them reversing. The nicads do seem to perform better when taken down to 0 and then kept there by dead shorting them untill your ready to charge them again. some say it is better to let them sit for awhile to let the voltage come back up a little before you charge them. AL

AS Megavolts has mention....If you're using the Smart tray then it shouldn't happen. I only use a simple stick pack discharger and keep it connected to the next time I want to use them.

I haven't reverse any of my 2400s...Just that old age is getting to them...

Ok so I discharged to 0.1v and charged with my Ice charger and it saying that it only charges to 1936mah wtf they charged on my old Kopropo BX213 to 2490 very strange.

ANy ideas?

your batteries get to 124 degrees ?...holy mother of god!

put you mv as low as u can...like at 3 per cell i think

i have my temp cut off at 120 degrees, but they've never got that hot.
