TC3 Ring and Pinion Gear Color

What is the difference in the color of the diff gear set? I have some that are black and some that are yellow (discolored white?)

I believe the black ones are the older graphite ones and the whiteish yellowish one are the newer delrin gears.... you can't buy the black ones by themselves anymore

Given a choice, which ones should I use, both sets being equal in wear?

Id get the newer whitish ones.
