Talking Track layouts

These are our layouts that we use for a 36x60' track. I suppose if you doubled the dimensions, you'd be pretty close to what you have. You can also make slight modifications to infield to "fill in gaps" or wahtever. The jumps are shown cause we run carpeted jumps on our track for an "offroad" class.
I can get this to you in AutoCAD format as well if you think they will help you out.

Enjoy.

how come a track is always flat, not trying to botch your thread, why not have slopes ( is that what you would call it ) just like F1 or TOCA?

I've thought that would be cool as well. However (at least as far as indoor goes...) that's the way the floors are poured. While you could "frame" up a wood floor to have different elevations, I'm not sure it would be very cost effective, but it would be cool.

I've never raced on asphault, but I know a lot of parking lots are not flat and do have some elevation changes (usually for water drainage) , but most I would imagine are not sloped enough to matter.

A member of this forum graciously whipped that up for me, I am sorry, I forget his name...

This is one the great reason I like where we run outdoors during the summer. the whole parking lot is on a slight slope. So the Infeild is a slight up hill. and the straight is on a slifht downhill. Plus at the end of the straight it's an off camber sweeper turn(this throw a lot of people off when they first come and race with us.)
