Skies the limit on irons I've soldered my self to the weller's. (Weller 40watt).
The tips on those in your link are steel, I think, and they last, but the weller perform's.
I cant think of the name of the more exspensive one but the one's the guy's at the track are using are adjustable temp and the tip's appear to be lasting forever. The weller tips are wide but you have to file them from time to time to keep the wedge on the tip. You should be able to get one at the track or hobby shop. Very affordable. I would stick to the weller tryed and true for me 10 years. Probably went through 3.

GO HERE this iron is just like the Hakko one and its cheaper. Just get a wide chisel tip for it and you will be o/k. I have one and I solder batteries with mine all the time.

Radio Shack handheld gun $29.99, 230 W max (has a lower W position also). Great for batteries too. The tips don't handle the high heat well probably because they get so hot. Heavy and cumbersome, but if you want cheap, it gets the job done. I killed two of these by clamping the switch to the high position for too long a few times and it melted and eventually fried itself until it became unsafe to use, then I bought the 80W adjustable Weller $65 works great so far (couple months).

im not goign to be using it much. i dont build my batteries much if ever. i will just need it to solder wires on motors. maybe a battery every now and then. thats why i figured one for $6 of the site i showed might be ok since i will hardly ever use it.

This is the best soldering station you will ever own for $46.
I have had this for 4+ yrs and it stay on all the time at the races on full power. Always hot and ready for any job. Comes with a large chisel tip as well.

Some will say that the hako is the best but with your $$$ requirement, you will be more then pleased.
