Just an FYI, we are just starting the second practice round of the day. I will have full results with "fake" q-points at the conclusion of the second round. Keep in mind that all of this stuff will be thrown out at the end of the day and we'll start over with the real deal tomorrow.

Other stuff:

It looks like about 50% of the Reedy drivers are running Tis. I have seen a few Kryptons, but I can't get an "official" word on it yet.

Tosolini is running the MR4-TC SSG, not the new SD.

All the TRF guys, including Jun, are running the Evo III. I have not seen a 414M at the track.

To get an idea of how big the track is, in stock we are geating the handout Monster motors between 6.5 and 6.8, looking at a final rollout of 1.08-1.10.

Last night, Barry Baker, Brian Kinwald and Mike Reedy made a scene at Denny's after waiting an hour for not getting their food. Actually it was mainly Baker. He had the right idea though, we probably waited about 70 minutes before getting served. We should have walked out when he did!

More later...

Dang that is a low wall....I hope they protect their knees and their family jewels . I saw some cars go flying at snowbirds that would easily go over that wall!!!

Alright, the R/C Tech race coverage pages are done and online with the first round of updates. I added about 25 pictures, including some of the more requested car pics that I was able to get.

Also, the results of the "practice" qualifiers are up and online. I wasn't able to get the full ones out of the computer so I had to post what I had by hand. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get the full standings for the real qualifiers.

On the Krypton/Ti issue, it is ambiguous. Baker is running a Kryptons, but Easton and Dumas are running Tis. Jun has a Ti but I am told it might be a prototype Krypton in a Ti can. I don't think there is anything wrong with the Kryptons, it may just be an availability and familiarity issue.

Both Reedy and Dieter are at the race.

Baker (with his Krypton) has posted the fastest time so far in Mod TC. He is not on the leaderboard for the practice rounds, however, because of the Q-points system and the fact that he didn't start the second round.

That's it for now, I'll be back on tomorrow. Actual qualifying starts around 11 AM.
