What would you run, if you had a legal Choice?

I think the problem with your thread is that your question is ambiguous.
Are you asking about what kind of chassis?
Are you asking about what kind of motor?
I see that you're asking about what type of battery.
Also the way you phased about being legal...
Are you asking about legal based on current ROAR rules?
Are you asking what I want to run and have ROAR make it legal?
Please be more specific.

What is interesting for me, is that this post has 646 views, and only 81 votes, on a topic that has more then 81 posts started. Here is the chance to let everyone see what you would prefer, and we have only a 12.5% response rate. Could it be that SubC vs Lipo it really is not the big deal that it has been made into? I don't think so, so are people choosing to not vote??..??...
Remember, the quesiton is if you could have a choice what would it be. Not what will your run in 2007 based on the rules of your club, ROAR, or anything else.

No affence but if the majority rule's wouldnt that help in making the rule's?
What the racer's want and not what they need is a good starting point.
Things have definitly changed as far as technology, the advancement will require the same in the rule of thumb as what people would like out of your vote, no affence but your vote seems one sided.

The issue is people think they are not legal, and this is not the case. So this is far from "Make Believe". Personally I can tell you, the Bass Pro Series that I'm putting together, we are allowing 4 cell, 5 cell, 6 cell and LiPo to run all in the same class at the weights outlined by ROAR. The responses have been great, so what I'm getting at, it is possible if your club and/or local track owner is willing to think out side the box and still operate in the guildlines of ROAR.
I agree, and I will do other Polls. For me it is simple and gets right to the point, of all these debates. If the group as a whole wants this, maybe others will see this in a simple format and start to think.

I agree that Brush vs BL is a different topic, as with Rubber vs. Foam.
Maybe the issue is I'm assuming TC elec classes only and not 1/12 scale...

I think what is missing in this whole lipo debate that really should be considered, is the number of people that visit their local track, get kind of interested in electric racing, maybe even try it, but then back out becuase of cost and what it takes to keep a car running with sub-c cells and brushed motors. I am a nitro off-road guy that came to electric racing to enjoy it with my son, and I am now running electric on road. The only reason I am running on-road, is because my local track has a brushless lipo rubber tire class. To run in it, all I need is one lipo, a balancer/charger, stock 4300 brusless system and a car. I don't need a pile of batteries, dischaging equipment, equilizer trays, chargers, comm lathes, etc. Brushless w/lipos make it a viable sport for someone to come into. Best of all, it is cheaper and allows someone to actually run/practice/play instead of figuring out how to get their battery/esc/motor combo to work right.
