Not quite.. try "speed of light in a vacumm".
(about 3 x 10^8 metres per sec or whatever...?)

So it does take a certain period of time for the electrons to move,
even if its in infinitesmally small timeframe, there's still a 'delay'.

That's all I remember from hi-skool physics class, messieurs.

Default comparable to 10T or 12T or 17T

hello, i've been reading the forums and the Novak website.....

i would like to know before i buy the SuperSport Novak

Brushless System, is that, what is it compared to?

a 10Turn, 12Turn, or 17Turn Brushed Motor?

I know the gearing is an important factor, but

lets say we are in the Ball Park on Novak's

~7.0 gear ration........

please respond as this is very important.....

thank you....

From what I've seen, the BL's are propably a bit faster than a 19 turn motor, but not as fast as a regular modified motor (12 or lower)

I havent run mine yet, but gearing should be in the 6.9-7.1 range.

I can say for certain that in the "Unlimited RPM" Mode my Novak Brushless will keep up happily with a very fast 11 Turn Modified motor. The acceleration is awesome and run time very good. I geared my car to the recommended 7.3:1 FDR and thats where I have left it.

In The "Limited RPM Profile" the SS Brushless in my opinion is comparable to a "very quick" 27 Turn Monster Stock Pro or similar.
The Novak has better acceleration than the Monster but in top end the Monster will rev a bit more.

All in all I am sure you will be happy with the Novak SS. It is great value for money..

Try FDR:-

>7 for a really tight small track (haha, Sembawang SC?)
6.5 for medium size tracks
<6 for large huge 'nitro' tracks

Dunno about the tropic heat, but haven't been able to overheat
the system down here at whatever the gearing (but watch the
temp of your batteries...).

Gear down if you want more pickup, otherwise just enjoy
the torque for max straights top speed.

if your on a tight track you may find 7.3 or more better

You'll find that runtime & system heat is no longer a worry.
So just gear it for whatever gives you the best *lap* times.

Getting my first TC car (was an offroad guy) a Losi XXX-S G+ and a Novak SUPER SPORT Brushless to go with.

1. Does anyone have photos of their Losi XXX-S with the Novak system installed?

2. What are people using as a mounting location for the pretty large ESC that comes with the Novak system? Will it fit in the pretty tight ESC space behind the motor on the Losi?

3. Anything with the motor itself, or any part of the Novak system, that conflicts with the Losi XXX-S?

4. Any gearing suggestions for an indoor, tight carpet track with a Losi and a Novak system?

Thanks... I am going high tech: JR XS3, Novak Brushless, XXX-S G+!!!!
