Man this thread make me wish I still had my barracuda!! That's the only car I ever sold that I wish I had back. If I remember correctly the nats in Durham NC was one of the last times I raced it.

Yeah I remember it well. Me and Jimmymac pitted beside mark and steve. I didn't do well at all but I had a good time. Too bad the track has been closed for years...

This thread is a blast from the past.
Without even knowing it, I've done the same as RedBullFiXX and gone from the Alex Racing camp to SpeedMerchant.

I still have my R2 with all it's fancy bits. I could never sell it. I'm a bit short of delrin diffs though

The delrin diffs were the only weak point on my car. I seem to have solved that by adding Yokomo aluminum outdrive sleeves over the delrin.

What Barracuda variant is this?

R2 I suppose? It doesn't have the steering rack.

How would one add front and rear sway bars to this chassis?

That looks like a R2 (a bit of mix matching color on it tho) and sway bar kits for the R2 was unique: they were sold by each thickness of sway bar each comes with a pair of CNC machined aluminum blocks with a slot to the exact thickness of the sway bar and was mounted to the bulkhead I believe.

The R3 were the ones that had the steering rack, the R2 had the more traditional two bellcrank setup on the steering

The D08 looks pretty sweet. I bet it would handle quite nicely. However, I don't know if there is any sway bar attachments.
