Hey Gary,
For spares, theres not much, everything on that car is pretty bullet proof. The only thing I found as a weak point was the steering rack, and front bumper brace. Other than that, you may want to keep a couple of steering knuckles and c-hubs on hand, never had a problem with the gears, but if you run outdoors, you might want to stock a spare bevel and input gear.
I ran a very tight indoor carpet and found I had to drill new holes for the tie rod ball mounts in the steering knuckles about 3mm closer to the c-hub, that added the extra steering I needed for the tight track.
If you don't find a UK parts reseller, I carry alot of spares here:

or hop ups here:

Enjoy, it's great kit.
Regards,
Rob

Hi
I have a 10x1 and a 19t motor. What pinin and spur gear would be a good starting point for this setup?
Is the standard spur gear on this car a 64dp or a 48dp.

64 is standard ..
Gearing is a matter of track and motor. A 19t V2 dosen't take that many rpm's so I would gear it much higher that your 10t. (If its a V2 other 19t do a lot more rpm's)

I'm attaching the gear chart for you, if your track is medium try with 8:1 for your 10t and go from there. Stock spur is 90. I'v been running with everything from 6:1 to 10:1 depending on track and motor.
Best regards
Claus

Hi Gary,
Claus makes a good point, depends largely on track layout/conditions and motor. The stock internal transmission ratio is 2.4375, a general starting range for pinions with the 90T 64P stock spur is in the 25T to 30T range. Just keep an eye on the motor temp. You can download set up sheets here to keep track of things: http://www.rcinfusion.com/FreeThings.aspx

Does any know of a hobby store that still carries the 2 speed coversion for the R2 made by Alex Racing? Please let me know... I've seen pics of it before and would like to purchase one....
Thanks.....
Thanks.....

Before I start, sorry to bring up such an old thread
I've just bought a barracuda r2, and have been told that the rear diff outdrives break really easy.
Now, what i would like to know is, is there a fix/solution to this problem? Can you use diff outdrives from another chassis, or can you do something to the standard ones to make them more reliable. Thanks in advance...
