TXR2Racer,

Thanks for the response your set up could be useful as a a starting point. I will probably set the car up for carpet and then possibly in a few weeks time we will be racing on polished floors which requires a much softer set up. We run using rubber tires not foams.

I set the droop up last night using the Hudy system and allowed 3.5mm at front, measured from bottom of C hub and 4 mm at the back, any idea if this is the correct set up?

Thanks again

Cam

Default Front Diff components

Hi,

I want to build a front diff for my sons R3

I live in the UK and have difficulty in getting spares.

Can anyone recommend a source of spares.

I have been told that a Yokomo diff would fit

Thanks

Cam

Hey, I havent visited in a very long time, but I have a few questions.

1) I just bought a very lightly used Barracuda R3 complete roller -wheels, how much is it worth on the streets?

2) where can I get a supply of parts for it, beginning with Rear Hub Carriers, Battery Hold-Downs (for stick, not side-by-side packs)

3) My car has a solid Front Axle, Aluminum 5* front Hub Carriers, Aluminum Front Knuckles, and I was wondering what I need to do with it to make it handle a little better on asphault. at the beginning of the turn, it barely turns in, then by the end of the turn the rear is sliding out. Mind you these are full speed turns, so I think It would have something to do with the speed.

4) And does anyone know where I can get a PDF of a Setup sheet and/or parts list with bearing sizes, tips, tricks, etc?

Hi, in answer, in order.

1. Its worth about $150 to $180 on ebay

2. I carry a complete supply of parts and hop ups:
Parts: http://www.rcinfusion.com/CategoryLi...x?CategoryID=1 for regular hubs, spares
Hop Ups: http://www.rcinfusion.com/ProductLis...?CategoryID=17 for battery hold down, graphite hubs, etc

3. Your turning problem can be remidied by installing a front diff, or for tight tracks a front one-way

4. Bearing sizes can be referenced here (4th one down): http://www.rcinfusion.com/ProductLis...?CategoryID=31
Set up sheets here converted by us to English: http://www.rcinfusion.com/FreeThings.aspx

As well to obtain a bit more steering, move the ball on the steering knuckle in towards the pivot (front C hub). Drill a small hole in the knuckle and thread the ball in, move it in about 5mm.

Hope that helps,

Rob

No problem, and yes I accept Paypal. The easiest thing to do is email me a list of what you need, I'll verify the stock and send you an itemized invoice through Paypal.

Rob

I dont want you to be offended, so I wont make you an offer. But if you tell me what you would want for it, I'll see if I can take it off of your hands.
