They will fit in the R2 R3... you just have to spend a "LOT" of time with the forward & rear cell cutouts

Thanks Dave !

I had hoped for the easy solution .
As they say in a old movie :

"Why do it the easy way, when you can do it the France way"

Sorry France !

Hey guys, just a question, probably been answer before, but here we go.

Does anyone have a complete run down of the bearings used in a R2, with Xenon Conversion kit?

Hi,

I just want to let you know that I still have some aluminium outdrives left, If someone is interested send me a PM or a email and I think we can work out a good price.
I'm not running the car anymore and don't need that much spare outdrives...

Cheers
Chris

Does the car have the Xenon Chassis conversion on it? If yes then the car is going to be pretty nice. Mine ran well. Car is still competitive and especially on asphalt with rubber tires or on carpet with rubber tires. Foams are hard to fit depending on what hubs are on the car.

I would also make sure it has the aluminum shaft holders(not sure what to call them.. )If it just has the plastic ones make sure to buy lots of spur gears... I thought the R2 was better than the R3 also. The new Stinger looks like the IRS TC3..to much money for that car..the Stinger,The R2 sounds like a killer deal.

Hi Xray Racer (guess that its now R2 racer )

You can't use 2 left uprights since the ajust the rear toe angle.
You would get 2 deg on your left and 0deg toe on the right.

You can get the R2 manual here: http://www.alex.ne.jp/rc/download/barracuda.html

Have fun with your Cuda, its a really cool car.

Still think its a great car, but the stock R2 is not quite as good as the R3 or an R2 Xenon convertion.
Depending on your class and skills I think you will find the R2 as a fast accelerator and stable car to drive.
Have fun.

I haven't seen these for quite some time now but you can try Steve at Speedtechrc.com. You can use other parts for the alum hubs but the drop-down camber link mounts are unique to Speedway Pal.

I thought the R2 was better than the R3,I have had both and i have always thought the R2 had a lot more steering than what the R3 does,The rest of the car is pretty much a "push" as far as parts go..you still need to add some hop ups for either one to be reliable,This is just an opinion.I have never been able to get any of my cudas to work on a carpet track.
