2mm...2.5mm....3mm...3.5mm...4mm...
Whatever you want. I dont know how thick it really has to be but I think 2.5mm should be enough. I am searching for more stiffness in the area of the stearing and the bulkheads...
Perhaps i will think about a new top deck as well... (TRF415, Xray T1FK05)

2.5~3mm would be great.. but the area around the front bumper mount and front sus ball mount holes needs to be a bit stonger.. and this showed on the 1st line of R2 chassis` and R3 chassis AKA the one good chrash and your chassis is on car

I know that... I have 2 damaged chassis plates here... but Im not sure how to improve the durability of the front end... tell me and i will do it.
BTW... I made a new damper stay which is wider... now I can use the outest hole on the damper stay, too...

alex springs

hey fellas,

a brief question. do any of you know what the spring range is for the all the alex (black )springs? not necessarily every spring, but an idea of how stiff the stiffest is? 1.5mmx5.0 turns? lb/in or g/mm... i can work from there.

greatly appreciated.

No sorry, not on the team anymore
I just wanted to try something new. It's been an excellent car for me the past 2 years though.

Cheers!

Thumbs up thanks

i haven't looked at this thread in months. my fault. i get so irritated anymore with people not using the search function of this board before posting.... and here i am asking away w/o even checking the recent posts....

i did think to check, but i thought, "what are the chances this was just covered?".... i'll risk it.

thanks again. i can't believe these top out at 25lbs!

Thumbs up more info

Looks like the car will be Shaft Driven at 1st ... but very different from the Barracuda the batteries "SHOULD" be on the Right hand side like the Cuda..... . but the suspension geo' is very different ... and it will have open bulkheads for easy access....... But look for a conversion on the car after it comes out ..??? Belt conversion...so you can run the same car but choose your type of drive system ... look to be interesting.... if they can pull it off... and be able to finish the prototype before the middle of May before the Shizoka Hobby Show

Thanks a lot for the info!
Did Alex thought about hiring some factory drivers since Xenon is now using Tamiya cars?

That sounds pretty cool. Might be into another Alex car down the road. Starting to fly electric heli's at this time and having a blast. If I get another touring car it is to run asphalt only with rubber tires. I'm done running carpet and tired of foams.
