Hello folks, I'm still around....
I like the look of those diff end protectors, I'll have to get some of them

Still not been racing in the last couple months, will try and get sorted for after Christmas I think, otherwise I may start slowly selling off my gear. Which I don't want to do since it'll cost twice as much to get going again Would probably keep the Cuda though.

Still no parcel from Japan Dave

Anyway, off to Uni, got a very demanding tutorial in a couple of hours we have to play old computer games

Hey Dave do when you run the off set ball studs in the front of the car do you normally run toe out/sweep the front arms out in the front? (Kinda like the Pro4 does as they use the 2.5 block in the front and 0 in the rear> I think this will make my car more aggressive if I'm correct. If so when I switch all my stuff only the R2 setup I will be doing this. If I get too aggressive I can always take it away but I hate not having enough steering.

Now the good thing is I scored my new JR R-1 PCM Pro radio and should be here by Wed or Thursday. Say go by to glitching!!

Can you by chance get ahold of any of those ferrite magnet noise suppressors that you can clip onto the wires running from your speedo's. A buddy I know ordered some from Rainbow 10 and I used them a few weeks ago at a race. They are not too big and clip/snap right onto my speed wires. I used one on my motor lead and my lead running to the battery. HMMMM no glitching that day. The ones I find here are just way TOOOOO BIG.

hey wyd,
i found it ineffective to go too much on toeing out front as it scrubs off some straight speed-no extra aggresive cornering effect (well this is with stock steering rack). Not more than 1deg on my setup. I had some weight positioned to center front to get decent steering as last resort.
Get the Yok or Kawada ferrites btw, they're small and good. cheers,

Wyd,

I have been using the ferrite filters from JR(tdk
rebranded). Its pretty small compared to the ones used on
computer parts. The part # is (JR RF Filter -part #JRPA028)
and it comes in two's. Let me know if you need size
comparisons.

Default Shock length

How long do you guys have your front and rear shocks? I am in the middle of rebuilding the shocks and I'm curious if you stayed with the length specified in the manual or use some other length. Also, do you have just the piston or limiters inside. I will be racing on carpet exclusively.

I already have the droop screws set at 4 in the front and 3 in the rear. I know the car came without droop screws and droop is set by the shock length in that situation. So now that I have droop screws, is there a certain length the Cuda shocks should be?

Thanks!

I would try to get around 61mm length on all 4 shocks if possible maybe 62.5 in the rear

Ok not sure if this has been done by anyone but here is a picture of my Xenon R3 Cuda. It is the Xenon chassis, toplate, motor mount and spur gear adaptor. All the rest of the parts are R3 Cuda parts. Now I have the nice bell crank steering!!!!!!!
