Guys i am aware that most set-ups usually have a harder spring up front, This is usually to tame the front of the car alittle though and i'm looking for more.

I also don't think our carpet produces the level of grip that you get else where. It's more of a felt type of surface than the ozite carpet and we also have some bumps to contend with.

I'm on 40wt all round, again well aware that a thicker oil up front would be normal but felt that the car is more responsive this way.

I am also thinking harder springs as i am also scrubbing to much corner speed through the infield, But the last time i used Rayspeed Whites and the car just didn't feel good, sort of loose as if i had gone to hard but i was thinking of trying a red on the front white on the rear combo this week (Rayspeed springs) as i think the grip has picked up alittle more over the last couple of weeks.

I am only looking for alittle more really i can already run 2nd at the club but i'm averaging about .4/.5sec a lap of the pace i need to get to, which is too slow as i am.

I need the car to hold a tighter line while loosing less speed doing it a hard one i know

I also thought of leaving the springs as they are but adding a 1mm spacer under the rear wishbone mounts to loosen it abit.

The Red & White combo is nice for High Bite Asphalt.. but you might want to try Gray & Red...? and going to a High Rollcenter in the Rear might help... but I would start out in small sizes AKA .5mm because it has a huge on the way the car handles ... well at least with the Cuda..

Have you messed around with the pistion hole size yet.?? Try a HPI #1 or a 1.3mm pistion hole with one weight up in oil and see how you like that also

Sorry hpi 1 all round or just in the front ??

i know this affects the pack but just how do you think the 1 piston and say 50wt oil would change how it reacts now ?? pistons are a tunning aid i don't normally mess with

HPI #1's in all 4 shocks

I use to run the stock 1.1 pistion but it did not like the way the car reacted in the switch backs..( hard to discribe ) and after going to a 1.2mm and even 1.3mm on my R3 the car felt better IMO... just some food for thought

Ok Dave I will have sent out via the EMS. I will let the wife know.

I think I will switch my stuff only the R2 chassis setup tis weekend. Also I think I have lined up a brand new R-1 Pro in the PCM version. I will be looking to get the new spectrum setup that Todd Hodge and Matt Francis run. Should be out really soon and never have a radio conflict again.

Are you converting the R3 to an R2 or do you just have both versions?

I think i need to get a new cuda or something soon. The parts are starting to wear out fast after a year and a half of driving this car. Raced a club race where I was able to TQ and win the Spec Mod class yesterday but the car felt a little quirky. Spent some time giving the car the once over that night and found the rear diff bearings (ceramics) were seized and was locked up like bushings in the rear bulkheads- not good Even so the car was still ballistic, just felt like it had a little extra drag brake

Hey Dave- quick question. Do you still happen to have a link or image of the 'rainbow of anodising' you used to post. It was where it showed all of the anodising colors available I think from Alex Racing.

Well I have enough parts to put my R2 back together. I have all of my trick parts on my R3 though. Ceramic bearings ( 4 runs on them),, all new hardened midspans and just put on the Speedway pal stuff. I'm not sure how I'm going to do it yet. Problem is if I sell my Cuda stuff I will take a beating with all the stuff I have bought in the last 2 months for it. I have a ton of spares.
