Question: I am running titanium axles on my R2 and I have shimmed them as much as possible to where they still spin freely, but there is still a bunch of slop front and rear. Is anybody experiencing this at all. Any suggestions to remidy this? I am running Acer ceramic bearings all the way around and they only have a couple of runs on them. Are the axles maybe just a bit too small?

Default shock problem!

ok guys, ive just been setting the ride height and set 5.5 on the rear, and the all is good.

but i come round to doing the front, i set it to (well attempt to) 5.5mm but even with the shock collars all the way up, it is still 6mm+..that isn't the problem but the problem is that evening having 6mm+ ride height the shocks have no movement at all..they have about 1mm movement on left and right (only on the front)....

i hope it made sense and i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem before..if so is there a cure to it?

thanks
Matt

When I ran Jet Hobby front knuckles there was some play in the axles. I think the spacing between the bearings in the knuckles was not enough causing the slop. Ended up putting a 8x10x0.3mm shim prior to installing the inner 6x10 bearing. It's the same shim that I use to shim the bevel gears. Miight work in your case.

Hmmm...I thought I was the only one. Maybe their QC is not as good as Xenon or Pal guys. The Jet knuckles are now my backups since I now use Xenon and Pal ones.

JDM_DOHC_SiR will the R3 Cuda chassis work on a Xenon kit? Are the shock towers the same on the R2 and the R3? If Jason gets that chassis setup from you I will have him make me some stuff but I have the Xenon R2 which you saw.

Well was working on the new Cuda R2 Xeonon and pretty much have it ready to run for this weekend. Need to mount my new body on it and set the electronics and it is about ready. I rebuilt the shocks. Funny is it don't have stock shock caps on. It has some silver alum. type and not sure what car they came from.

Anyone have a printable Cuda Setup sheet. Everytime I try to print the one from the Alex Site it won't center up right.

Yeah they're yoke caps with the anodizing stripped off, I'd keep them on there
