Damn! i should have asked you first! i sanded all the bevel gears
when you say minimal amount of slop...do i shim the diff and oneway gears as far away from the 16T bevel or should i only shim to the point similar to a pinion and spur mesh?
in the realm of an EVO4's good enough for me...at least people wont mistake it for a TL01

Shim the one way gear all the way over and shim the bevel gear so there is not any for and aft play in the gear..and then see how free they are... there is a few more things you can do to free up the drive train..but start with this 1st

If you're getting 4 degrees when using 1 degree hubs then it sounds like you have the hubs on the wrong sides
I'm not sure about the mid span arms though, they've probably got the same built in toe as the long ones.
No herminator i have them on the right way

If i put them on the opposite side then that only gives me 1deg on each side

The Chassis has 1.5~1.8 of toe in built into the chassis on the rear sus arm mount locations... if you have the 1 deg hub you should have anywhere from 2.5~2.8 deg toe in.. if you have the 2 deg hub you`ll be in the 3.5~3.8 Range..
if you are still haveing problems..check to see if the Black sus arm balls are bent.. this will through ..everything off a bit

no worries mate. from the look of things, i will need another .2mm shim for both the one way and the ball diff. i have already put the kit shims on one side to push it away from the 16T bevel but need more.
from the look of the 16T, it doesnt have much (if any) for and aft play...i'll need to take a better look.

damn shame you broke that screw...if only you were in Brisbane, i have spares.

is this center backbone for upper deck? Should be a belt one looking at the way the motor mount. holes are
It couldn't be a belt conversion kit for R3 would it?
