Guess all I need is a couple of hours at the lathe with a pices of aluminum and a complete diff set for the cuda to use as a model.
Can then use the delrin outdrives and the gear from the diff set and have a lightweight spool in a days time
Now where do I find a lathe
Or you could just save your derlin diff and time machining and wait for a company I just emailed to reply to me
They have just started making alloy spools with replacable delrin outdrives now I need to persuade them to make a version for the Cuda
They also do extra strong cvd bones for use with the spool, these fit their very nice titanium cvd's......

Ah, same people (titanium cvd's should of been a hint )
Lets just hope they'll be persuaded into making Barracuda bits I asked about rear cvd's too.

have fun, tell us how you find the mid span arms
I think they'll be the next step for me, Teeside is twisty and needs them I think.

Fuku's are very nice 9 months on and my packs are still strong.

Once again the R2 shaft will work.. all you have to do is cut about 1cm of the end of the carbon shaft at the end and make one more flat spot for the grub screw.... so don`t worry it "WILL" work

take a look at the pic I attached .. it shows the lenght between the R1,R2,R3 shafts

hehe, I thought you meant they'd be selling an oval shaped cuda for a second there
That one looks a bit more rectangular in shape

stjerno,

It's machined out of steel with the center hollowed out and the back plate drilled out.

Is oval racing popular in Japan? Also, wouldn't a specific oval car like a RC10L4 be better suited? I don't understand why Alex Racing would release an oval version of the R3
