i tried the mid spawn arms today.
they give more mid corner steering.
the car doesn't lose as much speed in thigt corners.

with the long spawn arms i allways had to slow down too much in 180 turns.

i like the mid spawn arms

well set up tips.......

i have done lots of festing with the car and the main difference that made the car good or real bad was shock build this car responds real good to set up changes!

my starting set up is

yoko orange springs all round
50wt oil with hpi number 3 pistons
3 deg toe in (rear)
0 front
camber 1 deg all round
short front camber link on toip deck and mid at rear
low holes all round in rear and fron hubs

0.5mm roll center lifted this gave more direct feel to the car and it didnt roll as much..

shock postions were outer most hole at front and 2nd from outer at rear and this is with a oneway...

bodyshell i use an ing magnus..

thanks jimmy
thx for sharing

that is really diffrent from my setup.
i never use 50wt oil with hpi #3 pistons.

outdoors with rubbers i run sth like 40wt oil with hpi #2 pistons.

springs usualy around 1,4 x5,50 or 1,5 x 6,00

with mazda body of course..

i sometimes use swaybars up to 1,6mm in front to reduce roll.
i should do some testing with higher rollcenter in front, but changing swaybars is done quicker

The difference in the rear tower is just the hole spacing were the bulkheads mount to ..everything else is the same

now for the front tower ... . .the R3 tower has one less mounting hole going out.. and the spacing is different for the mounting to the bulkheads.. about 2mm closer together than the R2 towers..

What are you tring to do.... Use the R2 tower on the Front...
Been there... there is a comapany that is making 3mm front towers with more shock palcement holes right now... but I'm sure that you will come up with something too

I should still have four out of six rounds so have the points to count for the championship but it wasn't really worth the trip up after some of the scores I have.
It's a 6 hour drive now so I would have had to stay overnight and spend a fortune on fuel too (over 80p a litre bloomin rip off)
Saving any racing funds for one last outdoor race this summer, the Cumbria GP in 2 weeks time
Only 1.5 hours drive to Carlisle and I know my car should go well, it's not been touched since my last race which was the Carlisle SMTCA round
I may even splash out on my second set of new CS22's this season, if things are going well and they're needed
At Carlisle new CS22's seem to give a good edge if you can afford them and don't over work them, as half the track is usualy shaded from the big tree behind the rostrum. They soon loose the ability to stay good enough for a whole 5 minutes though.
