Thanks for the info!
Now...to be a real pain in the ***, imagine that money is not an issue, what else would you buy along with the black r3 chassis kit? I've been with my tamiya for so long that i could probably quote product numbers off the top of my head but with an R3, i know nothing...i dont know what's in the kit, i cant find a manual to do some study on, i dont know what upgrades i can get, i dont know what companies makes option parts for an R3! all i do know is that i want one and buying one first and then buying optional parts later is going to cost too much money (international bank transfer fees etc) so buying in one hit is the preferred method for me . Could you guys possibly make me a list of things to buy for the ultimate R3 experience

Alex Racing themselves make the mid span arms, uncentred balls and the aluminium center shaft holders. However they are optional and do not come with the standard kit. With the kit you will have standard plastic arms and shaft holders.

If you decide to make an order from Steve of Speedtech, I am sure he will help you out. He stocks all hopups for the R3

Default Rear Body Post

Is there any other rear body posts that I can use that has a wider stance for the R3? Im having a problem mounting a Nemesis body with the rear posts. The stock ones keep ending up to close to the wing mounts.

you can try em onfront of the shock mounts if they dont hit your shocks. If they do you can get some that arent offset like the tc3 posts if that will be any better?

The Mazda 6 causes the same problem, just put them on the front of the shock towers and switch them over side to side so they're as wide as normal but further forward. You're unlikely to find any that will have a wider offset, the cuda mounting points are already quite wide at the rear.

Just so all the UK guys know (most will probably already know) it seems Centre Point (x x-ray distributers) are now distributing the Barracuda R3 in the UK and it's not rebadged as the Triox....
Maybe the size of Centre Point persuaded Xenon/Alex Racing to deal direct with a UK distributer, it's certainly more handy
Hopefully we'll have all the colour options and now the black chassis option too, aswell as plenty hopup parts.
It's a shame Centre Points website isn't much use, they still have the X-Ray on there

Center Point may well be bringing them in and for parts in a hurry we'll all be happy.

But who's prepared to put money against the kits having a retail of 299 over here ??? and all the parts be priced in the usual conversion of $ = by the time it get to the UK LHS !!!

Bet the dumb asses don't even work out thats why they'll do OK on parts but not shift the kits

Ohh the way were hit over here for over priced products really gets me going

the center 1-way will fit an R3 right? have you tried it with any good results?
thanks Dave.

Also, are the hubs/knuckles compatible between the R2 and R3? What about stabilizer bars?

Yes the center oneway works with the R3. very fast cornering speed

also the R2 hubs and knuckles will work with the R3 the stabilizers are the same... the mounting hardware is different between the R2 and R3.
