Hi Bro.

the Pro4 ones seem to be the best bet.. I just last night tapped the hole to 3.05mm and they fit the arm just fine and the bearings and such work just fine.. .. on a little side note.. I have been messing around with the Tamiya/HPI axel in the rear and it seems you might be able to use a Tamiya dogbone in the rear ..

I think the next time I run my Cuda in 2 weeks or so I'm going to run a front swaybar and lighter front and rear springs. I currently run Rayspeed Gray springs front and rear and the car is pretty good. When I run lighter springs like the Rayspeed REds or Whites the car rolls alot in the corners. I think the sway will take car of this and then I can run lighter springs to soften the car some to make the smoother overall.

I run asphalt with foams 99% of the time. Even when running indoors I run asphalt. I have one indoor asphalt track I run at now and soon a 2nd one to be going in the next couple of months. I will have my choice of two indoor asphalt tracks within an hour of my house. Gotta love that!!!!!

Plus I will get to try my new Parma Alpha next time I run as well. Might even order one of those new Protoform Caddilac bodies to try as well.

Anyone got a setup for the cuda, running foams on carpet with 27turn stock motors?
Looks like it will soon be time to buy a new stock motor and my first ever set of foams Should be "interesting" just wish I had some cash

Hebiki,

Thanks for the info. When is the non-sparkle version coming out? Are there going to be any other changes?

Herminator,

I use plaid fronts and purple rears. Try starting with Assoc. Copper front and gold rear springs. Both 40 wt oil and use a ball diff in the front. I tried the one way but I couldn't control it. You might want to have some sway bars to try also. Linger had posted a setup what seems foever now. It is back so many pages!

I also use the Chvron G350GT body only. I tried a MZ6 and didn't like it. I may try the new Caddy this winter when it is carpet season again.

Right

Front would be completed if i could only find a proper m3 Threaded ball joint for the upper king pin mounting point to the upper link.

Got a TC3 one in there for the pic but the fit is just not "right" i know these different threads are susposed to be the same size (phsically) but they aren't!!

Rear is together but not really what i had in mind. When i was drilling the HPI rear hub me it and the drill had a disagreement and it got F***ed up no vice so i suspose i should have expected it !

Anyway it'll do to see how it works if i can only get the front together properly !!

Looks really good there ..now you would just need the PAL hubs to make it that much better

Looks good Merciless
I wish my R2 was still that shiney and clean

Thanks, Pumpkinfish, I'll have to see what foams they use at the local track, hopefully there's a simple choice. I like to use Alex Racing springs so I'll need to find out which are closest to what you suggest. Sway bars will be something I'll try later if I can't get the car working well without them, never liked adding more complications to setup, when I often struggle to be brave enough with changing the limited things I usualy do. Often have too little time and don'r like risking a whole nights racing on one thing.

Pumpkinfish if you would have been at WC two weeks ago you could have raced against 2 other Cuda's. Me and RCmonk were their with our Cudas and I thought you might show up with yours. Could have been really cool to have 3 Cudas at one track. Might be a record for an EastCoast Track to have that many at one place.
