Well it was race night again and it was wet yet again
we raced anyway and I decided to try out some D20 treaded 24mm tyres I've had for almost a year without using. They work great for greasy to wet tracks although CS22 slicks work good too, I think the D20's may have the edge in greasey conditions though.
I was worried about the one way in the wet but the cuda was great, it's such a stable car, could use light brakes without spinning out. Setting my cars camber gave me the steering I wanted, now at 1.5degrees negative on the front. Was able to use a more sensible ride height too, since we're running at a smoother car park.
I ended up qualifying 4th, would of been third had I bothered to run the last qualifying round since I'm sure I could of gone faster but I wasnt sure I'd have cells charged for the final. I was going well in the final, running second for half the race and not far from the leader and catching him slowly. Then my car stopped, my end cell has moved and the bar solder joint had come off My soldering skills just aren't very good at all when it comes to cells, although saying that I've never had a bar come off before, just the tubes which are a pain. I still finished 5th which gives me some solid points for the championship. Lots of people went due to the usual wet problems, although the fast guys were the ones to stick around, some of them really struggled in the wet.

I'm really enjoying my cuda every time I race it, it's easy to drive but still very fast, setup changes work and it only needs small things to get it right anyway.

Anyone know a rough price for a transponder holder/servo mount?
would like a more secure mounting for my servo, plus it's more nice shiny bits

Yikes, that seems cheap, would more than likely be double that in the UK. I did send Steve a PM a few days ago, no reply
If they are anywhere near that price when Steve gets them then I definetly want one.

I've just finished replying to someone in the UK who's interested in the cuda, didn't realise how much I'd typed, usual pc text size and it almost filled my moniter I suspect Steve will be getting another order for a Cuda to the UK soon

Hi Guys,

I added those transponder mount to the order, but only in blue. I also ordered the web special orange cuda, the graphite center shaft. Although they are on order, I'm not sure if and when I'll get them. But I'm trying my best

Thats great to hear Steve, you'll be probably be getting an order from me when the new stock arrives, don't think it will include the PAL drive system, I've stopped striiping spurs finaly (searches for nearest piece of wood to touch ) and I want to keep things light and free. Want to try running without diff sheilds, make things easier to get to for starters.

Have you sold any other Cuda's to the UK? still not heard of many new drivers, although there's some good interest.
