I quite like purple actually
Some one would have to offer me a NIB one though as a trade for my Cuda, even then it wouldn't cover it, heck maybe two Pro 4's so I have spares

I don't really see how the pro 4 would be better than a cuda, different but not better.

Probably not getting rid of it, spent too much cash on it. But if someone made a good offer I'd certainly consider it
I love the Cuda but I could get parts for other cars a lot cheaper and setup help at the club.

dannnng. no luck with the hpi pistons. i had someone else drive my car... and they said it still pushes. i thought i was getting somewhere. here's the set up....

Front and Back
5mm ride height
5.75 springs (i used 6 and 6.25 all around, there's a difference, but not much)
40 wt oil
Hpi #2 pistons
Droop: 7mm (chassis flat on a setting board, measured from the end of the arm)
-1 camber all around
no sway bars
roll center raised 3mm
shortest camber link for both F & R

=======

Front:
0 - toe
middle hole for shocks(5 holes for the R3)
inner hole on the A-arm

Rear:
2.5 toe
2nd hole counting from the inside for shocks
3rd hole counting from the inside on the A-arm

at socal, i ran Pit 30s with Xenon Blue inserts and Sorex 36R with HPI Greens...

ran the following bodies:
Mazda - good steering, not very responsive
Bugatti - more downforce a bit more steering.
Alfa - rear end is loose mid corner and on power.

GUYS... the drivetrain is about as free and smooth as I can get it. people who have seen it are impressed by it... (without ceramics, i have a free spin of 7-10 seconds). im getting very discouraged here.. not getting the car to where i want.

please PM or email me with any suggestions..... if im doing something wrong, pls let me know...

Linger... i still have to try your ideas. thanks for reading.

someone at the track where i race ran it.. and he said he had to turn "2 hours early" just to get the car to turn.

a friend of mine has his R2... and you just THINK of turning and the car makes a u-turn.. thats how twitchy it is. i dont want it like that.. be something inbetween his and mine.

might as well put groceries in mine and call it a shopping cart. it pushes that bad now if i could only find a way to put the R3 drivetrain with the EvoIII suspension

Chris - You looked faster than ever tonight, just dont let the pressure get to you, and you'll be able to hold your position better.

How did the car do in the main with the changed springs?

Randman... thanks dude. the springs helped a little. i think i was better off with the HPI GREEN/Sorex 36 combo. felt nice when i was scrubbing your tires. i didnt really get bothered by the pressure.. i was more disappointed that my car couldnt keep up with the way i wanted to drive it..... oh well..

AWOL... just easier to get more steering with the Evo, SD's... Losi if i remember correctly. that might be the chassis? but this is the first time ive struggled to find steering. of all the cars ive had.. this one has given me the hardest time.

im not giving up on it YET because my drivetrain is sooooooo free right now.

Hebiki,
try moving your camberlink positionsto the middle holes on the deck, a sway bar in the rear might help, ithinkmy rear toe is about 2 degrees, a one-way will make it turn more, on the A-arms i have my shocks on the outer holes on front and back, lots of small stuff to try.

Hope it helps,
