my bro used to work for a carbon fiber frabrlication shop..making state of the are carbon forks for road and mtd. bikes...he says the top weave is mainly cosmetic...all the regidity is in the middle layers and how they are layed out...

I've asked if they can do a tub chassis...they said yes...but pricey.
anybody interested in a 'cuda tub chassis...

I would be. That company from the UK makes one for the SD and it's reasonably priced. I think most the cost would be in making the initial mold.

making the mold is easy...it's the handlaying of the carbon sheets is time consuming... I've seen how they make the carbon forks... very labor intensive...
The guy that make the mold is into RC planes and mold parts all the time for himself and friends...my bro says he might do it for nothing... just cost of materials....It's been a long while I visited the shop...but I'll see what I can do... if it happans it will be most like a Pro4 tub chassis..since that's my current car...
