You gotta take a close look at the instructions for most steps. I didn't use the suppliment sheet at all while building mine.

www.alexracingusa.com has the supplemental instructions, just read it on the site. Follow what they recommend.

Yah I know about this. If this is what steve puts in the kits he sells then I guess i don't need it anymore. I'm having a hell of a time building the shocks, any advice for that? I really don't want to put the wrong part somewhere and then have to tear them all down.

I had one hell of a time building the shocks as well...took me several tries to get one built. the key is to get the black plastic part into the shock bottom correctly.

Well I have no clue what the white teflon spacers are for and there's a part shown in the directions that I also have no clue what it is. I don't see anything that looks like it on the black parts tree.

On page 16 of the manual section K-1. area circled.
bottom shock cap, O-ring, black plastic part, sm O-ring, spacer, sm O-ring, part No.2, last is the retainer ring.

the black plastic part is the part I had a difficult time getting into the lower shock cap correctly. If not in properly...the shock shafts will bind.

I just pushed the black plastic piece into the bottom with a 3mm allen wrench which is bigger than the hole in the piece. It does have to be flush like Ramon is saying, or it will cause a bad bind.

Here's a picture. To me, the only part that looks like it goes in the bottom of the cartridge is the white teflon part with the protrusion. It fits perfectly... maybe they made a change

If my memory serves me right, you got that upside down. Push that black plastic piece into the shock end cap.
