yes 64dp should be ok on the R3, especially if you buy alloy shaft holders too

On the subject of 64dp gears, what size spur do most of you use? Still in half a mind to swap over from 48dp and would like to work out how many pinions I'll have to buy to cover the same range I have now.
I use 94 tooth spur gears, pinions from 24-38

A good start would be 3mm or so, I measure that by going 3mm higher than ride height.

I have been running 48 on carpet and asphalt and its as smooth as the 64 IMO and I run the Pal A-spec kit

I dont know that anyone has tried, but I know that the hingepin holes would need to be reamed out at the least. The offset may not be right either.

The Barracuda R2 or R3, do they come ready with titanium stuff, lightweight stuff, etc or you have to buy such hop ups seperately?

You have to buy titanium stuff seperatly. Mostly it would be for show though as the stock Cuda is pretty light and you'll probably have to add weights to be race legal anyway.
If you really like titanium (like me ) then the first thing I'd replace are the screws, I really don't like the philips head screws on any car, too easy to strip the head on a tough one.

You can get a titanium screw set for a reasonable price and it includes a nice driver.
Other titanium bits available are turnbuckles and axles, axles aren't cheap though but they do lighten the most important thing to lighten, ie. the drivetrain
