I gotta admit, it was pretty hard running in the dark at the Lexus race, especially since one of the drivers to the right of me leaned over so far that the bottom right side of the track was blind to me...

Default necessary spares

Can anybody help me on which necessary parts to get for R2? Are there any weak point/prone to breaks other than the usual wear and tear parts? Thanks!

For anyone wanting the BEST ceramic bearings out there they are finally in at www.rc4less.com They blow the acer ceramics away!!

Better quality bearing (apec 7) , metal shielded so they roll more free than the poly shielded bearings, no grease in them....just light oil.

I have been running them since the snowbirds last year and they still feel new. That includes carpet and asphalt racing. No problems or bearing failures whatsoever.

hi... was just wondering, aside from the 1 piece bulkhead, wouldn't a xenon R2, be very similar to the R3?

Close ...the steering system and a few other small things..
the Xenon or PAL R2 would be fine.

the R3 is the rack type TC3 steering system...

... hmmm its just odd why alex would go to this design, while TC3 owners are converting theirs to the NTC3, swing type design... in my opinion, maybe a rayspeed type would have been a better alternative.

I didn't have any spares except parts I replaced with (unnecissary) aftermarket parts. Never needed a spare part either...

I've heard of them, but I'm running Squat bearings which seem to spin just as free as ceramics, but cost half the price..
