I'm thing about getting a new R3 or special edition R2
Steve definately does his best to keep the parts in stock, but the R2 has gotten very popular as of late, and almost everyone running them stateside, is buying directly from him. I have never had a problem with out of stock, and I've never broken a part on the R2, so I dont think it's a huge problem...

In the long term which of the barracuda to get?
Can you give me an Ideal the ways the barracuda drive or compare others or close to...Thanks
They will both have the same suspension geometry, but the R2 will be easier to change spur gears on, and work on the drivetrain, whereas the R3 will be easier to change swaybars...

HPI #2 pistons seem to be a good starting point, Rayspeed pistons will work as well.

The US edition that Steve put together uses the Xenon chassis, so the spur gear is very easy to change...

The stock pistons have a very small hole, and use 10-15wt oil. The Rayspeed pistons come in 1.15mm, and 1.2mm hole sizes, which are what people drill pistons out to.

I know a lot about just about every competition car out there because I have owned them. I had a PAL A-Spec, and it is nearly identical to the Xenon car, but it has more rear bracing for a little stiffer chassis.
