I bought the R2 from Steve and all of the spares since and will continue to buy all of my parts from SpeedTech.
Steve is the most helpful shop owner that I've encountered!!!
He just happened to be out of stock on the one item I needed.
No big deal, He's got an order coming in this week anyway.
A fellow racer inquired about the car and parts availability,
I told him Speedtech was the place to go.
It cant hurt to ask.
I'm not "in the need to find someone else"

Randman

I broke a left front c-hub carrier just below the opening for the cvd.
I haven't had much of a chance to order up extra hubs and knuckles yet.
I talked to Steve today and hes waiting on a shipment due this week.
If the A6111's come in i'm ordering a few sets along with a few other spares.
I believe its the A6111 Front C-hub carrier knuckle set

Thanks

I dont have any spares left, but hopefully someone in the thread will have one for ya. I've heard of people breaking the C-Hubs, never did myself, but I stripped a knuckle...

Hi Guys,

I apologize for the delay on this shipment. Our shipment actually arrived last Friday already, but US Customs is taking a long hard look this time around at our package. I just hope when they are done, the close the package back up properly. There was a couple of incident where they didn't seal it up completely and parts were literally falling out of the box in the mail truck when it arrived. Surprisingly, everything was all there I'm checking everyday to see when they will release the package. Usually when the customs decides to go through it, it adds on an extra 1-2 weeks

Hi Guys,

Just confirmed with Alex Racing last night. The latest information is that all the R3 will have the sparkle chassis. not just the first 500, but all production models will have the sparkle chassis. Also, they are aiming for a late december release however, from the tone of their voice it sounds like there might be delays

That would be a nice idea, shaft holders, ti screws, clamp wheel hex's would be the main things I'd like to see

not sure about the sparkle graphite still though.... maybe it's better in person, it's not awful and I could live with it but I'd prefer shiney woven graphite.

Hi Guys,

I'll see how much all that stuff is going to cost once I put it all together.

Also, I was told by Alex Racing last night that the lamination and construction process is different with the sparkle style chassis, which makes it actually stronger than the woven graphite chassis. And other manufactures are are considering switching over to that style for the hop-up chassis (without the sparkle)

By the way, anyone interested in professional DVD of the Japanese R/C Touring Car National Championship?
