They would be purple though

edit: The 'sport' ones are silver aren't they, I'll try some at once!

Just tried, HPI ones have a different thread - maybe I'll try a full Tamiya shock set! Or stick with the plastic tops??? they just look so cheap on my lovely 'Cuda.

Don't know of anyone in the Uk that does it if you did find someone it would probably be an unpolished finish that you'd end up with.

Default R2 parts

R2 parts availability.
Anyone know who else has parts for the R2??
I know Steve at Speedtech has them.
I was wondering if there were any more sources here in the US

Steve has the biggest stock of parts at the best prices in the US and is the most helpful shop owner you could wish for, why would you need to find any one else?

Go to the Alex USA site, Steve does distribute to a few other places, but he is the top seller of R2 stuff (I guess that's obvious though)

The Sorex tires should be a definite improvement.
To get rid of the mid corner push, I mounted the front inner camber links as low as possible. This means no spacers under the camber links, and removing the clear gear case. This induces a camber gain during midcorner and thus more traction. The front end tends to be over damped when using the outer shock mount hole on the arm. The inner hole lessens the overdamped feel and give a lot more steering. I also changed to the short camber link position to give the car more rotation, but that also makes the car harder to drive.

You can always experiment with springs. The stock Alex Racing spring is 14.39 lb/in. With the increased traction of Sorex tires, you might be traction rolling and you'll need stiffer springs to combat that.
You can easily use smaller diameter Tamiya, Associated, Yokomo or Rayspeed Springs with the R2 shocks. All you need to do is flip the threaded shock collar upside down and use Tamiya spring perches for a perfect fit.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "it never went smooth in the turns" Can you explain more.

I should be there just about every saturday to help out with a setup.
Didn't I meet you at Ripon a few months ago?

If you where practicing for the Reedy race, then yes that was me
I am gonna try your suggestion, I can not make SAT, my kid is turnng 10 and she is haveing a slumber party. So I need to hold down the fort.

It was funny last Wed night when everyone saw my car and said there is only one other their like it. We need to talk, I need some serious schooling.

as far as the car not looking smooth in the turn, it just seemed to enter fine then all of a sudden when I hit the apex it snaped around.
