Whats the policy on Pre-Ordering the R3?

I sent an email to Steve asking about it, still waiting to hear back. I'd like to get a pre-order in for one!

Steve's pretty good about replying back.
My brother just pre-ordered one as well.. say's you'll be put on the pre-order list... as soon as the R3 is listed on the Speedtech website for pre-order. you'll be asked to officially pre-order, giving you shipping info, payment info, etc. you will not be charged not until the kit arrive and shipped... hope this helps.

Well I'm back from racing.....

man this Xenon chassis is a pile of $#!T

Just kidding
I love it!
This seriously is the best hop up available for the Cuda
The turn in was so nice and responsive but not so much that it made the rear unstable, it just fealt great. I did end up going up one spring rate at the front so it's two grades harder than the rear but the steering was still very nice and the rear end followed well until I wanted it to swing round for the hairpins.

The drive train is also an awful lot quieter now still makes more noise than a belt car but you can now hear the motor instead

New tyres are never good for grip in our hall so I was sliding a little but I still managed to qualify 5th on a night when everyone seemed to be going fast. Finished 4th, in a fairly clean final, would have liked to be up a place or two but considering the speed of the others tonight and the new tyres which should be great by next weeks final, I'm very pleased with the way the car is going now

Will have a pick of the LRP in place in a day or two hopefully, it was ok for tonight but I'll be glad to start running my M.Tronics It does look very slick, it's even nicer at team driver prices The LRP just wasn't smooth enough and brakes are kind of helpful instead of instant reverse when going flat out

why dont you do some donuts on a gritty tennis court to get your pins the way you like them. Isn't there anything else you can do to them instead of running them a few weeks to get them where you want them?

Don't have a gritty tennis court to hand plus I don't want to have to replace tyres every two weeks
It usualy goes-
first week they slide around loosing you a tenth or so a corner
second week they are still slidey but by the end of the night they're pretty good
third week they are really nice, good grip
fourth week qualifying is great, if you're hard on them you may start to reduce grip in the final but nothing noticable
fifth week things go downhill
sixth week you're cursing your empty wallet wishing you could afford new tyres as you slide wide for the width time in five laps

Don't have my M.Tronics yet, arriving later this week, used the blue brick tonight a reversing/forward LRP....
Never actually used reverse all night until we were lining up for the final and I thought I'd try it out my mate wondered what the heck I was doing reversing didn't realise I'd been fast with such a basic speedo

The main differences are the chassis and drive system. The R3 moves the cells slightly further forward and incorporates a central shaft holder onto the motor mount, like the PAL drive system and the Xenon/PAL conversions. There's also a TC3 style steering rack and a few other changes to the bulkheads.

Personaly if I had the cash I'd buy another Xenon R2 Especially if Dave was selling one but I'm broke

Is there anychance on the R3 you will be able to order one without the "sparkle" chassis....similiar to how you can get the Yok SD with the SSG or the Black chassis?

I'm hoping thats the case.....either way the R3 looks awesome.
