You should at least get the car together and try it...

Default Tweak City

Silly question guys, I'm in tweak city everytime I drive Pinky. I mean, the car is fast and the smooth but man! I hate it when no matter what I've tried it still tweaks. Even when not hitting anything. Just running inside/outside on the banking slopes of Socal would get the car tweaked. I was chatting with Steve SpeedtechRc a week ago and he said I should ditch the Flap chassis. You guys have any problems with the flap stuff? I'm assuming its another buckfifty just for a spec A and considering ONLY if I can get one. what I need is a 3mm lower/upper deck with counter sunk holes on the top deck as well. The car is crazy fast when it isn't tweaked. heh

That's weird, when I had pinky, I was able to get all of the tweak out of the car, and it would stay that way. If you're gonna go with a new chassis, have Steve special order a pink Xenon conversion for you

Counter sink that upper deck.. just dont do the servo mount post ones
Also counter sink 2 of the 4 hols in the shock towers also

this will get rid of most of your tweek 95% of the time

Tos drove pinky a few time and said the same thing. But of course with he level of driving, he just made it seemed everything was alright even with a 7 turn. Both Tos and Steve mentioned that the upper deck had a flaw in the milling process. I don't think Steve is carrying any flap stuff so I'm safe to say go with Steve's suggestion. Now, I feel like getting another car or another cuda since you beat me to it on the SD. And I don't want to go through the nightmares again of owning one. Maybe I'll just ask tos to loan me his. yeah right!

Dan
I'd love to try out the rainbow R3 though. Oh, no HPI for me. period.

Hmm? good suggestion Dave, might have to try that tomorrow. I did notice the shock towers having slight movement and RBF did mention that when I first got the WEB. I'd much rather have a thicker chassis though. Gotta love those carbon midspans. I was lucky enough when steve had a few and they made turning a lot better.

Hmm... Rather than a new car, just go with a new chassis... problem solved

To think I still have a brand spanking new, unbuilt, gear stripping, EVOS, I might have to just built that for the heck of it. Got gobs of square stuff sitting inside the box along with it too. gosh darn it! I do love the cuda and will always have one or two though.

If it's a top deck problem how about getting a new topdeck, like the standard one. Seems like a nice simple and cheap option to me.
Either that or what a few months and I'll buy pinky off you

going to answer my PM dave?

You'd like the Evo3S more than you think, but be prepared to replace a bundle of gears... that's for sure.
