Just file the edges at a 45 degree angle until the battery sits level with the bottom of the chassis. It's not hard, just a pain in the ass.

with all my pal chassis's the battery slots work perfect no filing to do to get them(batteries) to seat right. the packs fit great

even on the 3mm thick chassis? no 45degree filling to do to get them sitting nice and low?
