Sorry...I should have stated that a little different. The pieces that are with the xenon and pal kits would be in these kits as well. The other alumn pieces I was referring to were hubs, servo mounts, battery braces, etc.

We are already setup to do anodizing...It would just be a matter of buying the colors that we dont have already.

I think you might go hungry on cuda chassis sells by the time you figure the set up cost and material and the alex car being a import and speedtech the lone seller of cuda parts in the states
i would think long and hard before i made that leap

plus pal, xenon, excel have some very very sweet products

if you build it they wil come on both sides of the pond USA , Japan and Europe ..Quality and price will have to be a big thing though.. and your biggest thing would be alloy knuckes for the front that would accept a bigger OD bearing and then thicker shock towers.... so and so on..

just my to b its..

Or better yet what are you useing to keep gear ratio's between 6.4 to 7.5
Any help at all or am I invisable

there is no conversion, you simply start using 64dp gears instead of 48dp
if you don't know that then I'd be very worried about you going to 64dp, it's harder to mesh and in the cuda you need an optional drive system of some sorts.

? why is there no conversion, I only run 27turn stock motors, I feel no need for PAL system.

48dp and 64dp gears refers to spur gears and pinions. they are two different sizes of gear teeth, so you buy a 48dp spur and use a 48dp pinion on the motor, try and mix 48dp with 64dp and you'll get a messed up spur imediatly. 64dp has finer teeth, this means they are weaker and more prone to stripping, which makes the gear mesh critical. The stock drivetrain simply isn't wobble free enough to be able to run 64dp as the shaft will move from side to side very slightly whilst rotating, changing the mesh as it goes, as so striping the teeth on the spur.

You need to do a little research before you go out and buy it.

No no no I think you got the wrong Idea. I am useing 72 spur and 25 or 26 pinion all at 48pitch I just want to quiet down my drive train noise on the R2 so I though going with 64Pitch would be a good choice

I think if I went and bought a 64 pich pinion and left my 48 pitch spur in it would make a terrible wracket

No worries K

ok, but you wouldn't get away with 64dp on the kit drivetrain. If you get a PAL drive system you'd have to find a 64dp spur that fits, I think it's somewhere in the 90tooth range but I don't know for sure, haven't bothered with 64dp so far...
ad for reducing noise, 48dp can be reasonably quiet, but you have to work on other areas first.

HEYALIGNMENTGUY, if you want to quiet down the drivetrain, try the shim technique described by Dave. This pushes the bevel gear closer to the diff gear. If it's still noisy, then play with the shims on the sides of the diffs. My R2 runs quiet now after playing with the shims. I also run a 48p 72t Kimbrough spur gear.

Here's the original thread post: http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...him#post436683

Basically, you need to get the Kyosho #96644 8x10mm shim set. Depending on which version of the bevel gear, you apply 1 or 2 0.2mm shims. Also, you don't need to sand down the bevel or diff gears anymore. Remove only the extra flash material.

It would be just as high of quality and made in the USA. Before I chunk over the money to get it going I just want to make sure it will fly.

If it does then chassis for other cars will follow TC3, EVO's, etc. And possibly some alumn pieces down the road as well.

Just looking for some input.

Thanks

That's exactly why PAL doesnt want their stuff in countries other than Japan. It would sell though to answer your question.

Well Put...that is the reason why it`s hard for these parts to get to the States and even harder pretty soon
