But doesn't the top deck weigh a little more, then you have the posts and four extra screws to add

it's all just another lead weight you have to find room for anyway

That's why I thought the Xenon would be lighter, there is more to the PAL chassis...

Different carnon fiber on both versions
the PAL Carbon looks like the Stock stuff and the Xenon Carbon looks like Tamiya stuff

Wink Also

I was able to See a EXCEL R2 yesterday night...... it"s basically the same thing as a R2 on the lover chassis but it"s missing the 2 battery slots behind the servo....and it's 2.7mm think...and the upper deck looks like its a cross between a FLAP and ALEX upper deck 2.4mm thick

all of that for about 580!! no ti screws or turn buckles...standard bearings.... ...and it has a nix of the older style center shaft holders old style in the rear and new double bearing style in the front hmmmmm..

Really doesn't sound that great at all. I'd stick with a stock R2 for half the price...

I must admit, I like the flat finish stuff as well, but I have nothing against the polished finish stuff either

doesn't sound like a very good deal, would of thought it came with titanium turnbuckles atleast, screws would of been half expected too. What do they have thats going to be an extra incentive to buy it. It's not the thickest chassis around, nor the most special. Using the common PAL drive system and some alloy hubs, it's almost boring

The excel car seems like it's already been done, you're right about the boring part herm... My Web Special was worth the money, and it still cost less than the excel with twice the goodies.
