just about got it sorted by turinig up the steering rate then collided with a back marker who decided to rejoin the race as I came round the sweeper full chat. Destroyed his car and..... my batteries came out. Marshall put them back in and I carried on with no other damage. Trouble was I lost 2 laps.
Will be looking at the battery holder as it doesnt grip the top of the cells not being shaped like other manufacturers. May have to go back to the tape in the meantime though.
Still, quite pleased with the strength and the speed of the car though
Gazza..
What set up are you running right now..?? oil spring tires ect ect..

Go to a smaller spur.... well DUH! but they only make spurs so small
Strapping tape doesnt take any more time than a strap, if you use a good tape like Xenon, it will last the entire day.

If you can't find a spur gear that's small enough, you're gearing too high...

Well,
HPI piston no 2 all round, 40 wt front 30 rear with kit springs.
I removed the inner spacers from both front and back shocks too.
Shock length for what its worth 61mm front, 63.5 rear, any shorter and the droop would lift through the roof.?

Shock positions as per kit. 2 deg camber front and rear with 0.5 deg toe out at the front and 2.5 deg at the rear. Used Xenon rear knuckles but kit plastic fronts as the xenon ones were stopping the droop at the front going below 6mm?!?!?! Ride height 6mm all round.

No roll bars or kickup/Antidive, running one way diff.

CS22 on proline wabash 24mm rims with Hara grey (soft) inserts. LRP Blue Factor addative. Protoform Vectra shell.

Track was Stafford, smooth asphalt, with low to medium grip.

Problem I believe caused by the lime that comes through the surface, tyres actually come off white at 5 mins!!!!!!

Car was good to start as additive done its thing, then developed a push as the tyres got a good coating. then after having bttys put back in and turned steering rate up car was planted again.

Although had to turn up steering about 20%!!!!

Any ideas Dave much appreciated

What arms are you running..?? mid or long.?? also you might want to try a little kick up in the front anout.5~.75mm will do..
Also you only have about 6mm droop with the Xenon hub..??? so thats a 11mm total right.?? or 6mm total if the ride height is set at 5mm...hmmm can you take a pic with them installed.

Yeah, well I know it sounds a lot but that is how it went together, got the Hudy system for checking droop so fairly accurate.
I was running long span arms, sure do flex a bit?!?!?!?

As mentioned earlier car was planted after turning up steering rate, using 70% of full lock on radio for what its worth.

Funny thing was when I was practicing with it, there were a few local know alls stood below the rostrum watching the cars go by. Each car that went by, they guessed what it was by the whine of the transmission, they didnt have a clue when the Cuda shot past. S m o o o o t h and q u i e t, is there any other way!!!!
