yo dave i thought you where gonna have your set up board done in orange did you have yo name put on it also?

i got one also its coming with some other goodies

Yea...I know I thought that I was going to get it in ornage for my name...but I ended up gettting 2 that were the Same

Oh well stuff happens like that...but wait till you see how theyput the names on the set up board...it`s in the middel of the Glass It`s rather trick looking!!

Looks like strapping tape is the only option for the cells though even if you drilled holes for a battery strap it would foul the steering I think.
Whats the gearing range like with the new motor mount? Looks like there is less movement of the motor away from the center of the chassis, may not be able to get the gearing needed at Stonehaven...

When you get done with all that sanding and rebuilding, let us know how much stiffer it is. Must be like a small black desert in your work area one chassis took me a long time, your files must be knackered too

You going to get the chance to run it any time soon? would love to know how it goes with a setup you liked before, so you have a good comparison on what the chassis change has done exactly

Strapping tape is the way to go Herm, much lighter, and I've had too many battery straps come off during racing... If you want to run a higher gear, just go with a smaller spur, if it wont fit what you need.

I don't have time to faff around with tape at my club, I've never had my strap come off during a race, it's very solidly secured

Go to a smaller spur.... well DUH! but they only make spurs so small

Well....I ran my Cuda at the nats today, car was awesome off the line Qual 4th but got up to first by lap 2
Anyway car then developed a huge push
just about got it sorted by turinig up the steering rate then collided with a back marker who decided to rejoin the race as I came round the sweeper full chat. Destroyed his car and..... my batteries came out. Marshall put them back in and I carried on with no other damage. Trouble was I lost 2 laps.
Will be looking at the battery holder as it doesnt grip the top of the cells not being shaped like other manufacturers. May have to go back to the tape in the meantime though.
Still, quite pleased with the strength and the speed of the car though

Your cells came out
How tight is your strap across the top of the cells?
I'm using battery posts from an RC Lab with the alloy strap and I've only had cells come out when using 3300's and no padding on the strap. I now always have pading which holds the cells tighter and they have no chance of coming out, unless the chassis snaps touch wood....

Good to hear you like the car though, odd it developed a push mid race, must be something like tyres overheating, or maybe the rears were just getting up to temp and creating too much grip.
