Guys,

I've been hearing great things about the Baracuda R2 lately that I'm thinking of getting one already. Currently I'm a Losi guy. I have a few questions though that I hope you would help me out with:

* What other difference does the R2 have over the Web Special besides the battery/ electronics placement & the color (more hop-ups, different suspension geometry??)
* Is the PAL System really important even if you run only 19T?
* Is the Web Special still available?

Thanks in advance!
Web special has these extra's- alloy body posts, alloy battery strap, titanium screws, titanium turnbuckles, ceramic diff balls I think, alloy shaft holders, offset suspension pivot balls and possibly a few other goodies.

Pal system isn't very important if you use alloy shaft holders front and rear, RBF is not using one whilst running a brushless system, I'm not using one when running a fast 19turn. If you want to use a fast mod or 64dp gears then the PAL system would be a very good idea, infact for 64dp gears it's a must.

You'll be very VERY lucky if you find a Web Special avialable, and it won't be cheap. There were only 100 made and they sold quick, some shops bought them but they have all sold out as far as people on here know. There are some other nice conversions and a hopped up edition coming from a few other companies though.

As a Web Special owner, I'll tell it to you straight, wait for the PAL conversion to be released, and convert the R2. The pics of the PAL car are badass!

You have to run it with a pink HPI Beetle shell with the top cut off to make it look like a Barbie convertable
You can tell I thought too much about it when I came up with the idea of disguising the rear wing as a folded up roof, paint it cream and cut the side plates to suit

Get the radio gear you would for any other car, just make sure to get a high speed servo. I am using the 3PK HRS with a S9451 Digital servo and love the performance of everything.

I've got the 3PK, HRS receiver with S9550 digital low profile servo. The low profile servo is great...gives you extra room for your receiver and esc.
