Steve - The only reason I go through R10 is to order the parts you don't stock yet (and this will be my first R2 order with them as well) I don't mind paying more for the parts if I can support a shop bringing the car to the USA, I just hope that you'll be able to get everything for the car before long so I can get it all from you. Can you get the individual titanium screws?

Randman,

I realize that you guys only purchase the parts that I have yet to get, what I'm asking mainly is that you do not do an open group buy or something similar to that.

The screw kits are something we received back in March as samples and part of the reason I decided not to bring it in is the special wrench and screw that it uses. If you happen to snap a wrench, you might not be able to work on your car for awhile if you don't have a replacement wrench and if you loose a screw it might be difficult to find a replacement that looks like the other screws on the car.

If you guys really want something, send me an email requesting it. As I mention in the other thread, I can't keep up with the amount of posting that goes on here, so if you want and need to be heard...send an email

Steve Wang

Default Alex Ti Torx screws

fyi, the tool for the torx screws is nothing special...#10 Torx driver, can be found at Sears, Snap-On or any Automotive tool supplier, in fact it is a common size for dash & instrument repair in many new cars & bikes

....over 20yrs as a mechanic has its perks

Default Alex Racing parts supply

I know its tough to wait for parts that we see coming out over in J-Land, but for sure Steve is working hard on getting them over here, and it seems that recently the flood gates have opened a bit, new parts are arriving weekly now....its truly an exciting time to be a part of the ride that is CUDA

Oh...you R2 owners out there it doesn't hurt to let others try your cars out once in a while...it sure is fun watching their expression as they take it around for the first few laps in awe

Default JDM Paintmaster?

Dave,
I see that you are becoming quite handy with your airbrush. I like the paint scheme you chose for the Cuda. Can you give us some tips? What portion did you mask first? Tape or vinyl mask?
Keep up the good work!

THat paint Job was done all with tape and the 1st part that I masked was the section between the blue and the white...then I did the flames and then the grill and headlights.. I have templates that I made up to make it easy to do the outlines on the outside of the body 1st and then I use a very fine sharpe or permanent maker to trace the outlines..

NOt yet Bro..maybe monday

I have to take a day of from R/C today..I had the worst time at the Race last night I got hammered out so many times it wasn`t even funny..! ....at least the Cuda held up I was able to qualify for top spot in the"B" Main..but I was .5 faster al lap than anyone else in the B main...so with them knowing that I had 8 people taking cheap shots at me in the start of the race and then coming out on the main straight...
SO I ended up in 5th after being 4 laps down from having my body fixed and having thr barracuda do cartwheels down the track 3 times I swear to GOd the Next A$$Clown that trys to take me out...it`s battle royal

anywasy..break time for me today
