The system itself has loads of torque and great run time. It will take some getting use to for some people from a set-up stand point. The system rolls so freely off throttle that some people complain of a initial push because they are use to their brushed motor helping with the braking / chassis rotation thru the corner.

The other thing to watch for when gearing these beasts (start with a 7.1 to 7.3 final) is the heat the ESC generates. I kept gearing my system up because the motor was not that hot ...then I shot a temp gun at the ESC and it was near 200f (still no problem with the sytem however)

Novak recomends keeping the ESC temp in the 140 to 160 range I think?

I have had great luck with the Sport system....and ya gotta' love no com cuts & brush changes between heats

madjack ... thank you for the info its been very helpful

Are any of the Flap products useful for the R2? From what I know it looks like they make R1 stuff, but couldn't tell what was made for the R2.

look on Page 5~6 for the R2 info...

There are about 4 people on this Page that Have the FLAP Chassis and ..... they are
Ko Racer
RedBull Fixx
SpeedTech(steve)
and Myself

I like there upper deck for the electronic mounting and it's just a tad bit thicker...like .2mm ish

and there lower chassis has the right provisions to adjust the lower steering turnbuckle which comes in handy when making adjustments on the run

Steve at Speed Tech should be carrying there stuff soon..hit him up and ask him about it.

BTW, just wondered if anyone is making custom front bumpers that extend out a little wider to protect the front end better? I bought an HPI uncut foam bumper today and contoured the front of it to fit against my Stratus 2.0 bodies, but I would also like to outfit the front end with a wider plastic bumper if it's necissary.

I'm actually talking about the lower plastic bumper. I have the foam bumper set, it's oversized and pretty soft so it wont take the paint off my bodies. Anyone make a custom lower bumper?
