Yes the GM drivers usually are running without sensors. They say sensors are not making any difference now.
Interesting, thanks. We don't see the GM or Quark stuff here in the states at all. I'd love to get my hands on a Genius 95/100 and see how it does with Novak's 13.5, with and without the Hall sensors.

There is talk about it coming next year.
We filled 15 bearings with carpet fibers, that could not be cleaned out. We had to disassemble the entire drivetrain every run to clear it back out. During practice and the first round of qualifying, the track was closed to sweap the "fuzz tumbleweeds." They were up to 1" square.
Felt like racing 1/8 scale for an hour long main after 5 minutes. Track did improve over the weekend, but still wasn't the greatest.
The track was difficult and traction was very hard to come by. As you can see, almost everyone struggled. Paul struggled to adapt, but Juho ran very well all weekend.
I do have some pics, but no time to post until I get home tomorrow. I was too busy getting caught sleeping in the pits

Turd...out

Looks like Marc may of been the only one left running brushed

Good morning everybody...

What an intense weekend of racing! Congratulations to Juho, AE and ourselves for the win. He really looked very comfortable and was clearly the best guy this year.
Also a big thank you to all participants, the racing was great and the atmosphere still very friendly and relaxed.

Very sorry about the fluffy carpet, you can be sure that the organising club and ourselves where most disappointed by that. All the effort we spend for building a nice track and then the carpet has such an issue! I think something was wrong in general with the carpet, traction never came up as it should have been and the hairs never disappeared entirely. Carpet went straight into the trash last night and you can be sure this won't happen again. Have to check what Ozite will cost for shipping to Europe or what tracks use in the UK succesfully...

There were no brushed guys in Top10 btw... tech-chart, pics, report, results are at our live-website.

burito,

What is the profile used on Juho's TC Spec? And what was his final ratio and motor timing? What other settings made his X11 3.5T (as listed in the tech sheet) suitable for such a small to med sized track? Thanks.

Juho ran 2-4-0-0 speedo setting and his gearing was 10.4:1, remember this is with 5-cells.
He liked the power the 3.5 is capable to give, when needed. He did not use full power all the time, still looked very smooth.

@Anders: nice dog...
Tthis is pretty much how the fluffs on the carpet looked like on Friday, even we hoovered the track like 4 times it did not get perfect until the end unfortunately...

just shows that carpets are not carpets and that running on them is a challenge to the driver and the car.

Yes it seems so. Maybe Paul used brushed in the beginning and switched later, I donīt know. But if you saw Marcs car at the track you didnīt believe this was brushed. In the end Marc used a 6T and this one ripped like mad.
