I'm surprised that noone commented anything regarding the amount of "hair" (sorry don't know the correct word) found on every car
ie

Nnick maybe we aren't so familiar with carpet tracks, that's why we are surpised. I would like someone to tell us if this is something usual on carpet tracks.

You're right nnick. This photo shows my car after 1500 rounds continues driving last winter. (approx. 5 hours). And I had only 2 broken bearings.

The carpet just wasn´t of the best quality so the result was that "hairy" cars. Also very low grip in the beginning. But the track itself was very good, just that chicane in the infield was very demanding and even worldchampions struggled sometimes.

Not all types of carpet give this problem. Last year at the TOSW I had not this problem. But there was NO grip

Huh, that BL motor has Hall sensors (not connected) with a Checkpoint and MM BL 3.5 label. That's the Quark ESC you say? Seems like they're running it w/o the Hall sensors. I don't know if that one can run with them or not. Interesting stuff on the brushless front for sure. I'm still not convinced it's not a bunch of companies slapping their sticker on someone's motor, though.
Yes that´s the Quark Plasma even when the sticker says MM. If I remember right the specs say both sensored and sensorless could be run.

I think that GM speedos without case are the Genius 100. They are waiting for the new cases so the speedos had to be run without case.
Yes the GM drivers usually are running without sensors. They say sensors are not making any difference now.

Regarding motors it really seems Marc R. and Paul Lemieux were the only ones running brushed. And yes sometimes brushed motors still can rip bigtime. In that B-Main Marc was crazy fast until a poor solderjoint stopped his 6 turn Checkpoint from working.

Regarding the 415 cars infact Marc Rheinard, Hupo and Viktor Wilck were running the old 415 and Viktor proved that car still is one of the fastest with his 2nd place overall.

The big races in the US like Snowbirds, Cleveland, and the IIC all use brand new carpet and do not have this fuzz problem. Must be the funny blue carpet.
