Is it normal on the dpd for the first cell to have the highest ir than any of the other cells in the pack?I tried a couple packs and the first cell is always the highest.

simple , the first cell is the one that takes the most abuse of all and goes down the line from there

What I want to know is... When the DPD is in teh 30 pulse mode, does it automatically go into the 5 amp linear tray mode? or what? Cuase i would like to have it not, and to stop before it goes tot he 5 amp linear mode

But it is a brand new pack and hasent been run.Is it maybe because it hasent been cycled enough?

yes , does goes into 5amp linear mode after the very first cell hits 0.9v , why dont know , but i do know if u got a brand new pack you should charge it 1st then
discharge it to 0.9v on dpd or any other discharger that has a 0.9v cutoff to equalize the pack.

also remember , when you buy a matched pack , its not equalize its just been matched so each cell would have run time , volt and IR .
