Default Running double pink in front not double pink/orange or cyan up front anymore

Is the latest thing to run double pink or magenta up front as well as in the back now?

Seems like more people are doing that for additional steering, or is most everyone still running a double pink/orangle or cyan up front?

I'm 'm seeing a few people go that way, are the setups changing a whole lot as well to be able to run the rears on the front?

Thanks...

Mike

Well I don't run touring on capet that much(maybe once or twice a year).

So let me see if I got this right.

If the carpet is new or there is tons of grip. double pink/orange and double pink back,

and if the carpet is a bit worn down and not much traction. doublepink all around.

Hey one more question has anyone having luck with the Niftech traction wash for either touring(all levels) and 12 scale(all levels too)

Nope, what protc3 is saying is that the new carpet that is being used this year has less grip than the older carpet...not old and worn out...old style.

By using rear tires on the front there is much more steering, sometimes a stiffer front end and or super glue on the front tires is required.

So what was the idea behind the pporange up front? Doesn't the stiffer outer edge help with steering?

The stiff outer edge will calm the car down and take away alot of the twitchy ness that running 2x pink all around would give. Also the 2x pink is something that alot more of the mod guys were doing to gain stearing on lower traction carpet. We will see in a few days what people run on high bite at the Novak race.

That would be running rear compunds on the front and rear. I used this setup all last year and some looked at me funny. But let me tell you, it makes for an awesome amount of steering.

Rears all the way around, Magenta in parmas or 2x pink in Jacos.

The stiffer outer edge will increase initial turn-in but will take away traction in the middle while the tire is riding towards the outer edge. John's BSR offers a Double Pink/ Orange front tire and a Double pink/ Purple rear tire. has the same effect of giving more rotation, but the stiffer outer wall helps with tire wear and does cut down on chunking a little. I've been running them this way for about a year now and they work great.

Is this mostly for Mod or does it work well for stock and 19t as well?

Later,

Hey Crash. When I ran the T1R I ran 26mm purple's on the front, and 28mm purple's on the rear when I ran 19 turn. Back before we changed carpet and side's. And a one way for a while it really worked good you could power in harder. And core had his car blazing.
