Parking lot racing....what happens when these things change?
Ambient Temperature
Sunny day
Humidity
I ask because last week's conditions were overcast day about 75 degrees and using rubber tires cars hooked up fine. Today it was sunny and about 80 degrees but some of had problems with spinning out through some of the turns.
The parking lot is pressure washed then we use a pressure sprayer and lay down root beer.

also, make sure you spray the root beer down before the sun is beating hard on the pavement.we shoot it about 8 in the morning.if you wait too long and spray it in the beating sun,the sugar in the root beer will crystalize on the track surface.when this happens, dust sticks to it and creates a slippery surface.it needs time to sit before the sun dries it.

I've found if the SUN is already HOT - use LESS Rootbeer - in a lighter fog coat seems to work better than a heavy spray (that we can get away with if we spray early)
We don't use a sprayer - we just take a bottle of ROOTBEER and a AWL and punch a hole in the lid...then SHAKE LIKE HECK and spray toward the track~

I suspect the sun heated the track up 20-30 degrees hotter on the 80F day. Tires that may have worked on a 75F cloudy day may be too soft a compound and may be coming apart from the heat. Look at the tire tread after a run. If they are covered with little rubber marbles they are too soft and are coming apart. This will cause the car to feel slippery.
