Just go get the LCG for about $420. When you get the SSD for 270 and get the conversion for like 240, you spent alot already. Steve, at www.speedtechrc.com sells the LCG as a kit as well as the conversion.

Yes, it's installed correctly. Our local track is decently clean, it's when the car get's hit and flies outside the barriers that trouble starts. Ours is a converted tennis court, and there is a sandy court nearby.

I've spent many hours staring at the gear box thinking of a way of sealing it better and gave up. There simply is no room behind the diff gear for a shield.

Then I came up with a very neat solution, I swapped the LCG for a 415. Problem Eliminated. No more worrying of stripped gears on collisions or of pebbles getting into the drivetrain.

rough, hate to break the bad news, but Yokomo released gear covers about 3 weeks ago. They can be found here:

Chad, yes my buddy has these gear covers. The shield does not go behind the diff gear. That's where the pebbles are getting in.

I still think the LCG is a very good car, my buddy's giving me a hard time with his LCG. I'm just not comfortable with the open diff case.

If I alter the roll center by putting 1mm shims on every suspension mounts on the car (F & R) so the suspension are up for 1mm, what is the driving characteristics I got compared to susp mounts without 1mm shims?
Thanks in advance

lem2: if you got to www.yokomo.co.jp and then new procuts eng up the top then you can see hat has come out in the last few months, things like, gear covers, differnt steering plate with akerman locations, longer steering posts that attach top and bottom decks. nothing much else i dont think. i was thinking about getting the oneway centre shaft aswell. where were you plannig on getting yours from??

capellone24: i dont think you can get the white gears anymore, they were just what was out right at the start of the sds life. same part number as the black plastic ones. just different colour....

hope this helps you both
