Can you use any 3/32 carbide diff balls like the hpi ones?

Sorry if this sounds stupid but I need to be sure before I order

Also, what is the biggest spur you can fit in the SDW?

I think there is less space than the normal SD because of the lowered upper deck

Ceramic diff balls are worth the investment iv had mine since xmas and they're on there second set of plates. Iv now got a problem, going to a new track on Sunday that nobody has been to. Im running modified, and im just after anyones thoughts on where i should start with the setup.

Track
Maritime

The track apparently has low grip but this could change the more we use it. Anyone got any thoughts?

Cheers

this is for the ssg/black SD car
Mr. Jolly.. will the new AE2005 tub chassis work with the Low-Center Gravity conversion kit that's coming out for the SD/Black special series cars?

the LCG Kit is the conversion kit that allows you to have the same bulkheads as the SDW Replica car.

As far as i know you could use it but if the LCG chassis is keyed for the bulkheads then you would need a alteration to it to take the bulkheads.

Hi Guys,

We just received a notice from Yokomo USA that the LCG conversion kits have arrived, and will be available for shipping tomorrow. We should receive them this Wednesday. We will setup the pre-order tonight for the kit. We are still working on bringing down the price

77t 48p, but you can get a 78 in with a little filing on the lower chassis.

Default AE2005

If the gearbox `foot print` is the same on the SDW as the std SD
on to the chassis then yes to that question
but bear in mind the front gearbox has been moved forward 3mm to make the front drive shafts sit straight as opposed to angled back wards
this means there is more play in the centre shaft coz the front gearbox`has been pushed froward, all you do is put a couple of extra `o` rings into the output couplings

this car conversion will give a LCG over the other ones coz the shock towers are lower, also you can change shock position on these tower`s with out affecting ride height at the same time

But the LCG isn't keyed for the SD...That is why there is a new Chassis & the bulkheads have moved outward....So the AE2005 wouldn't work for the LCG...Although it looks very nice to have a CF Tub...would come in real handy for carpet racing...Might look at that if we start having a carper craze out here on the west coast....

Anyone have a Yok. part number for LCG? I have been putting off building the pictured chassis untill LCG is released. Are they compatible?

YES
You need nothing more than just getting the LCG....Although You might want to go ahead and build the SD just to get familar and to maybe get started building since the LCG won't be available to even order(well except for preorder from speedtech) till next week.
Hope this helps,

Mr J,

the mounting for the LCG bulheads is different to the standard SSG/CGM housings. If there was demand for it i could talk to Andy and see if he could adjust the design to accomodate them. We could also adopt the new steering system in as well as it looks alot lighter than the RS system (i have only seen pics on the Yokomo USA site though so just throwing a few ideas about at the moment!
He would need a LCG kit to measure against though.
