All I can say after building the CGM is, why would anybody buy a Tamiya tub? This thing blows my TB-02 out of the water in every way ...

TB-02 is not meant as a carpet racer. it is meant to compete in the GT2/GT3 class in their TCS series. CGM was designed specifically for carpet and those who wanted a "tub" chassis.

most likely not without a lot of dremel work. the SD/SDW has differently shaped battery slots compared to the BD. im sure if you dremel very carefully you can make them fit the SDW. SD would be slightly more difficult.

It's just sloppy design by Tamiya ... I've had TA03's, TA04's, TB01's, and TB02's ... all tubs, and every one of them was just cheap plastic that had no strength to it. Yokomo certainly made a killer tub.

tb-02 159.00, ta04 169.00 cgm 299.00 just sold a tb-01 for 20.00 with alum bits and long arm kit. the tamiyas listed are entry level kits, and work as designed. thats why the evo 4 and 415 are close to 400.00

Look at my signature ... I love Tamiya stuff, it's what I grew up on. But they could learn a thing or two from Yokomo about how to make a tub. Even my MR4-TC drift kit chassis is much stronger than my TB-02.

Look like Speedmind rims ... that's one of the older MR4 belt drive cars.

by looking at the motor mount through the rear side window i would say it was cgm, also the steering link coming off of the servo mounted on the left side not right. and i think those are yok rims

It looks like a CGM to me also, in fact I know it's not the older MR4TC since the motor is in the shaft drive position.
